There are numerous contributing factors that can affect the life
& performance of the original
power amplifier circuits. They can begin as
hardly being noticeable yet becoming critical over
a very short
time. Then in an instant without warning a major failure can occur
ultimately
causing the power amplifier(s) to
burn-out and fail like these actual examples. There was indeed
"fire in the hole" and "the
smoke was let out".
